General Information

The 2023 Lifeworks Annual Celebration will be a hybrid event – held both at The Depot (in person) and online for those who prefer to watch at home. For attendees both in person and online, there will be hosts to guide you through the incredible work that Lifeworks provides to our community – and the amazing people that make it happen.

Parking is available at The Depot (225 3rd Ave S, Minneapolis, MN  55401), and includes an underground option. There is a fee for parking ($15 for the evening).  In addition, there are other surface lots and ramps that are within a few blocks of The Depot.

Attendees at The Depot may choose to wear business attire or, if you’re excited about the event, feel free to dress up a little! Those attending online? You will not be on camera, so wear those comfy clothes!

Yes. There will be a complimentary coat check at The Depot.

At The Depot on April 20, tablets will be available for your use at your dinner table.

You may also make a gift on your phone by logging into the Auction Harmony website at: https://ve.ahgive.com/ve/VG3QQ7M3. Once logged in, click the “Make a Donation” button to make your gift.

If you need assistance using the tablet or the Auction Harmony website, volunteers will be available in the hall and at the checkout table and happy to assist you!

When the Live Auction begins, you can wave your bid number card located on your dinner table to make a bid. If you win an auction item, a staff person will come to your table and explain next steps to pay for and redeem your auction purchase.

No problem! You’ll still have to have a credit card on file to bid or donate, but when you get to the Checkout screen, just select “I want to pay in a different way.” Then specify your payment request and you will be contacted to confirm your payment.

This year, April 20, is one of thirty days of Ramadan, the holiest month of the Islamic calendar. During Ramadan, Muslims around the world will abstain from eating and drinking during daylight hours. Sunset on April 20 is estimated to be around 8:04 p.m. If you would like your meal brought to you after sunset at The Depot, please email giving@lifeworks.org

While children are welcome at The Depot for the Annual Celebration, please know that the program, dinner, and activities are planned with adults in mind. The event, from arrival to check-out, may run just over 3 hours.

We do not anticipate a cancellation unless circumstances are extraordinary. The online Annual Celebration will go on no matter the weather or pandemic conditions. If the Governor or the City of Minneapolis declares an emergency such that the Annual Celebration must be canceled, Lifeworks will email our attendees with a link to the online event and details about the cancellation.

COVID Information

Yes, if possible. Lifeworks respectfully requires in-person attendees to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or negative PCR COVID-19 test (within 72 hours) upon entry.

Please bring your COVID-19 Vaccine Card (provided when you received your first dose), a photo of your COVID-19 Vaccine Card on your phone, or have the Docket app on your phone with your records from the Minnesota Department of Health already loaded.

If you are not fully vaccinated by April 14, you will need to provide negative results from a PCR test (not a rapid, or Antigen test) dated within 72 hours of the event.

Masks are not required; however, Lifeworks strongly encourages wearing a mask when not eating or drinking during the in-person event.

For 2022, Lifeworks has reduced the number of persons at each table from 10 to 8 to allow for more social distancing. We hope our attendees will maintain healthy distances according to their own comfort levels during the event.

Plans for the 2022 Lifeworks Annual Celebration were made in accordance with The Depot’s COVID guidelines and restrictions, as well as any government provisions that were and are in place.

Awards Information

The Annual Awards are “on pause” as Lifeworks considers how best to celebrate the efforts and successes of our staff, our employer partners, and the people we serve. Each person and partner brings unique talents to Lifeworks, and we are assessing how best to recognize more of our friends’ achievements. If you are interested in being part of this conversation, please contact giving@lifeworks.org.

Access and Accommodations Information

If you need accommodations, please let us know when you register (there is a place for you to enter information online). Alternatively, please call (651) 508-2452 or email giving@lifeworks.org to make your requests.

3Play Media has generously donated their services to provide captioning for the Annual Celebration videos, and captioning will be available on the online event.

An ASL interpreter will be at The Depot during the in person Annual Celebration festivities and will sign during the event. Videos shown during the event will also be captioned.

If you need a quiet space during the Annual Celebration at The Depot, a Quiet Room is being provided. This space will provide guests a place to calm and focus themselves so they can later return to celebrating and interacting with others.
